Youth Opportunities

Youth programs (for ages 13 to 18) focus on building community, making art, claiming institutional space, creating safe and inclusive spaces, hiring emerging artists, partnering with community organizations and advocating for youth presence, values, and culture.

Programming combines contemporary art practices and popular culture. There are also volunteer opportunities for youth through the GCAC.

Online Workshops

Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, or you’ve studied art for years, the GCAC has a course for you. Artistic experiences and single day workshops are offered for all ages and interests, including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video and digital media, comics, theatre & drama, creative writing, and more.

Please check often for new additions to our creative learning calendar!

Youth Classes

We offer fun, educational and enriching classes to stimulate your child’s imagination!

Children 6 – 12 will have the opportunity to express how they see the world around them through gallery visits and a variety of art-making activities, using a range of age-appropriate techniques and media.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Students are able to gain their 40 hours of community service by supporting The Georgina Centre for Arts and Culture at various events and festivals.

There are volunteer opportunities for youth through the Organization. For more information, please email info@thegcac.ca.
