Oscar Peterson – The Jazz Legend and The Man I Knew

Award-winning musician, composer and producer Lance Anderson brings his acclaimed musical performance & conversation about Oscar Peterson, the jazz legend. In “The Jazz Legend & The Man I Knew,” Anderson tells, in anecdotes, personal stories, music, and a little history, the story of their meeting, their friendship and what it meant to be around a genius and what being a jazz genius is all about – what jazz is all about. Anderson will play compositions written by Peterson, including selections from his Canadiana Suite and the world-renowned “Hymn to Freedom.” George Koller will accompany Anderson on acoustic bass.
