In this workshop, participants will work with J.J. Martyn to learn the fundamentals of drypoint etching using an eco-friendly and accessible approach. Utilizing recycled Tetra Pak cartons as the primary medium, students will explore how to create images by incising directly into the material’s surface. This workshop covers essential techniques, including plate preparation, inking, and using a press for printing. Additionally, participants will gain hands-on experience with innovative methods, such as incorporating chine-collé, to enhance their prints with colour and texture.
