In this 6-week workshop you will learn the techniques used to manipulate multiple layers of oil paints in various
opacities to create depth and substance to your artwork. This is a technique class,
and accessible to all levels, including beginners. We will be using water-based oil
paints to aid clean up, with a class in making oils using traditional methods and tools.
One of the most important aspects of your artwork is the ability to visualize your
finished piece and then produce it, with confidence and consistency from one piece
to the next. This comes easily to some, for others, it is a struggle. My teaching theory is
based on tested and proven methods for seeing, interpreting and process, each
technique supports the other and can be used for any subject, and for any medium.
