7 Stories – A Writing Competition!

This exhibition will feature 7 selected pieces of artwork from the GCAC Permanent Collection.
Writing contestants are to select one of the seven images to base their written submission.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of each of the 7 art pieces!

Award Ceremony: Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 from 12pm – 2pm

7 Stories Submission Guidelines

– $25 submission fee – payable online or in person at the gallery. 

– a Microsoft word file or Open Text (NOT Mac pages file), 12 pt. text, 1 inch margins, font Times New Roman or Calibri  

– Title of the piece can be the same as the name of the work of art or created new for the story

– 400 words maximum 

– short stories, poetry and essays accepted 

– Limited to one submission per entry

– please include your name and contact information (email, telephone) 

Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author, but the GCAC will have the unrestricted right to publish the winning poems and stories, (including runners up).
